The types of Personal Information we may collect may range from the everyday such as residential address, email address and phone number to more Sensitive Personal Information, such as the legal right to work or other information that is inherent for the role. We may also collect, with your consent, References, Background Checks, your work experience and qualifications, aptitude test results and other information in connection with your possible work placements.

We will only collect information that is reasonably necessary for the performance of our functions or activities, or as required/permitted under the applicable laws.

The information we collect is for providing current and future employment opportunities, where the Candidates experience is suitable.

As part of the application process, we may request additional information described at the time it is collected or as necessary to establish, administer and manage the recruitment process. We may collect the following information when allowed by law or with your consent: Racial or ethnic origin, trade-union membership, biometric data, data concerning health, and criminal history.

4.     Who will be collecting your Personal & Sensitive Personal Information?

Your Personal Information will be collected by KIN & COMPANY INC. trading as KIN + CO. for its own use in connection with your work placements. 

Your Personal Information will be held by KIN + CO. at our Head Office in Los Angeles, California, United States or other offices as necessary. Your information will also be held via our recruitment software system for the purpose of your work placements. Some of your Personal Information may also be held on portable devices such as mobile phones, laptop computers or in diaries operated and held by our staff members.

5.     Disclosure of your Personal Information   

Your Personal Information may be disclosed to:

  • Potential and actual employers (Clients) of KIN + CO.;

  • Employees and contractors of KIN + CO. who require such information to assist KIN + CO. with establishing and administering the recruiting process;

Should you wish to be removed from our recruitment software system, we will duly make you inactive and no longer contact you. However as a Candidate, your resume will remain on our database as it is linked to our record keeping processes and the manner by which our recruitment software operates. We are required by law to keep your information for as long as is necessary, in order to comply with legal or regulatory responsibilities.

You have a right to complain about our handling of your Personal Information if you believe that we have interfered with your privacy. 8.     Electronic Transactions  

Our business is conducted primarily via the Internet. As such, we conduct transactions electronically as well as via the phone, video chats/conferences, via face-to-face measures and in hard copy. You should take all appropriate steps to protect your Personal Information.
